We have a vision at Father’s House Church that we believe is aligned to Jesus’ vision for His church.

In the book of Acts Jesus empowers his disciples with the Power of the Holy Spirit. He does this so they can be witnesses of the Gospel.

 

A witness is someone who speaks, shows, and actively engages truth that they have seen. Jesus empowered these witnesses to share the great news of new life to:

1. Jerusalem – Their city

2. Judea – Their state

3. Samaria – Their nation or another people group

4. To the ends of the earth.

As a Church we follow this pattern believing that by the Power of the Holy Spirit, we have been called to our city of Melbourne, our state of Victoria, our nation of Australia and to the ends of the earth.

We call it locally, nationally, and globally. We do this by being witnesses of how Jesus has changed our lives. Serving food packages, mentoring in schools, loving the helpless, caring for those who are lonely, being the hands and feet of Jesus. It’s refreshing to hear hey!

 

It’s a big vision yes, but we recognise we serve a big God! And by the way, we are not there yet. But that’s what vision is! Speaking out what God has called us to be, starting right here in our city of Melbourne.
